This Month Sandra says, "with the harsh cold weather we are experiencing at the moment, you have to be aware that factors such as central heating and any kind of heat will be damaging to the hair, so moisture moisture is what you need at the moment. Try not to stress your hair as this will result in breakage"

SEE YOU in 2010!

This year has been very blessed for the salon, we celebrated our first birthday, gained great new staff and won an award. We would like to say a big thank you for the support thus far and we have big plans for 2010, so stay with us on this journey and enjoy it with us.  Its been a great decade and let the first year of the next decade start with a BANG!!! A night with the clients

Earlier this month, we held an entertainment night solely for our clients. It was a night in a way to interact on a more personal level with our clients and to let them know that we care. We wanted them to get to know us more and be more comfortable. We had music, food and entertainment as all parties do; Chyna came in to speak about the Alexander Technique and classes that she holds, she even gave a small tutorial to show how the technique works. We had a poet come in and share some poems and life experiences with us, not forgetting Tracy who sold us some tea and Avlon who provided us with goodie bag for the clients. All in all it was a good night and a great way to give back.

Black Beauty /WAHL Hair Awards Nov 2009

This year we attended the awards with positivity and what a result we received!

 It was a great night for hairdressers all over the country. Held at the Hilton Hotel at Edgeware Road, the night started at 8/8:30 with entertainment from the host Kat from Choice FM, perfromances by comedian Funmbi and Sadie Ama and finally the Hurricane Hair Show by Avlon European Artistic Team.

On to the winners of the night, a Massive Well done to  Miss Sandra Webb herself for winning the award of the Southern Stylist of the year, after all that hard work it is good to see her get what she deserves. Abena Richardson of Asquared in catford won both Stylist of the Year and styling team of the year, Michelle Thompson of Francesco Group Academy  won the Afro Hair of the year at the Bristish hair awards and again yesterday won both the Northern and the Weave stylist of the Year. Other fab winners of the night were:
